Bringing photography to life

Stacks Image 40

There are many ways to practise your photography and one option is to help local charities or organisations with their publicity. Simply prearrange to attend an event and take photographs which the organisation can then use, and for which you, and the Baddow Camera Club, can get some credit. In addition, attend events and distribute leaflets promoting the club's activities. You will find examples of such events below, and if interested, please contact for further information.

We have been contacted by Janette Lett (Fund Raiser) to ask if we would like the chance to practice our photography skills at one of their fund raising events, and forward your photographs to the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity to use on Social Media and with the press. If the photographs are printed, the photographer will get an acknowledgement.

Here are the events:
Sun 14th April… Rural Ramble from Hatfield Peveral
Sun 21st April… The London Marathon
Sun 12th May… Ride for Helen from Hatfield Peveral
Sun 26th May… Open Gardens at Hatfield Peveral
Sun 14th July… Vintage Fayre at Crossing
Sun 25th Aug… Vintage Fayre at Layer Marney
Sun 24th Nov… Christmas Fayre at Chelmsford Race Course

The Museum of Power is a favourite of many of our members. So if you go to any of their special events throughout the year, please send them your favourite images.

The Museum of Power is located at Hatfield Road, Langford, Maldon CM9 6QA.

The GBHS holds four shows throughout the year, and in each of these there is a photography competition (see for details). If you are a member of GBHS then why not submit your photos according to the assigned themes for each show? In addition, we will be promoting the Baddow Camera Club at these events, so do come along and help the committee members and let's grow the club.
