There are many ways to practise your photography and one option is to help local charities or organisations with their publicity. Simply prearrange to attend an event and take photographs which the organisation can then use, and for which you, and the Baddow Camera Club, can get some credit. In addition, attend events and distribute leaflets promoting the club's activities. You will find examples of such events below, and if interested, please contact chairman@baddowcameraclub.co.uk for further information.

HELEN ROLLASON CANCER CHARITY

We have been contacted by Janette Lett (Fund Raiser) to ask if we would like the chance to practice our photography skills at one of their fund raising events, and forward your photographs to the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity to use on Social Media and with the press. If the photographs are printed, the photographer will get an acknowledgement.

The Museum of Power is a favourite of many of our members. So if you go to any of their special events throughout the year, please send them your favourite images.

THE GREAT BADDOW HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY SHOWS

The GBHS holds four shows throughout the year, and in some of these there is a photography competition (see Great Baddow Horticultural Society for details). If you are a member of GBHS then why not submit your photos according to the assigned themes for each show? In addition, we will be promoting the Baddow Camera Club at these events, so do come along and help the committee members and let's grow the club.
